Akron senior forward Rachel Tecca has been named the Mid-American Conference East Division Player of the Week.
This is the second time this season and the eighth time in her career Tecca has earned the conference's weekly award.
Tecca became the University of Akron's all-time leading scorer over the weekend as she paced the Zips offensively in the Cal Poly Holiday Beach Classic. Tecca shot 51.2 percent from the field and averaged 26.0 points per game after entering the weekend as the top scorer in the country.
